Summer is a season of sunshine, family vacations, and children enjoying a well-deserved break from school. But for many families in our community, summer also brings a difficult reality: when school is out, access to regular, nutritious meals becomes much harder.

As our loved one’s age, many seniors face challenges that make it difficult to leave home independently. Illness, mobility limitations, chronic conditions, or recovery from surgery can all contribute to someone becoming homebound. While remaining at home often provides comfort and familiarity, it can also create feelings of isolation and make daily tasks more difficult.

At The Place, our food pantry is a vital resource for families across Forsyth and Dawson Counties. Food donations play a key role in helping us serve our community and keep our shelves stocked with essentials.
