The Place's Holiday House Brings Joy, Dignity, and Hope to More Than 2,100 Children This Christmas Season

Forsyth County, GA - This holiday season, The Place once again brought the community together to ensure families could celebrate the holidays with joy, dignity, and hope through its 11th Annual Holiday House event.

Through Holiday House, 2,174 children from 860 families received brand-new, unwrapped toys, hand-selected by their parents or guardians. The event is designed to give caregivers the dignity and pleasure of choosing exactly what each child wants or needs for the holidays.

Holiday House is set up like a store, with toys organized by age group - Pre-School, Elementary, and Middle/High School - so families can easily find meaningful gifts for every child in their household.

This year's success was made possible through incredible community generosity:

• Over 15,000 toys were collected

• More than 2,000 rolls of wrapping paper were donated

• 454 volunteers gave their time

• 2,825 volunteer hours supported toy sorting events and Holiday House event

"The heart of Holiday House is dignity," said Cristy Ferencie, President and CEO of The Place. "Parents aren't just receiving help; they are empowered to provide Christmas for their children in a way that feels personal and meaningful. That is only possible because of our community."
